An egg’s pet is fixed the moment it’s laid: no reroll, ever. Rarer eggs take longer to hatch, from 15 minutes to a whole day. The last six, hedgehog, frog, jellyfish, bee, whale and sheep, only ever hatch in the hatchery.

About one egg in 150 hatches shiny: the same pet in a rare colourway, with a sparkle. Every kind has its own.

No guilt
No death and no streak to lose. A pet left alone gets sleepy, goes on an adventure, and comes home glad.
Earned, never bought
One currency, treats, earned by caring for it and two little games. No egg is ever sold, and nothing random costs money.

Every pixel is drawn, never made by an image model: the pets, their hats, the places, the doodles.
